An old friend from Naropa, Marcus Mennes, has a new book out called Gnome and Garden. Please check it out. Marcus was a wonderful and much overlooked poet in grad school - I remember classmates putting his poems down for lacking sense, narraative, direction, intent, etc. and likening him to a modern day Dr. Seuss. Yes, but there was always plenty of whimsy in his poems and I certainly did love many of his lines. Congratulations, Marcus, and if you're reading this, get in touch with me!

Also congrats to Jane Binns, another Naropa friend, for her new collection, Pocket Change (Eye of Tiger Press, 2004).
