The IWP delegates for China are Edward Carey (playwright), Leslie Jamison (fiction writer), David Marshall Chan (fiction writer), Kiki Petrosino (poet), and Anne E. Wilson (sculptor). Filmmaker Steve Delahoyde will also be documenting the trip and the 2009 exchange as a whole.
Arrival in Beijing on 5/12. Then three days in Beijing, seven days in Dunhuang, three days in Xi’an, and a final stop in Beijing, before leaving China on 5/26. We will be visiting four of the top five UNESCO world heritage sites in China, the Great Wall and the Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Beijing, the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, and the Mausoleum of the First Emperor in Xi’an.
