I am going to Western China in May through the Iowa Writers Project. An all-expenses paid trip to Dunhuang, Xian, and Beijing to collaborate with minority ethnic artists living and working in China. Dunhuang in an ancient city on the Silk Road, close to the site of the Cave of One Thousand Buddhas. In October, the Chinese artists travel to Iowa where the American artists will meet them and continue the artistic exchange.
