The air still smelled charred in So Cal. Thank God our house didn't burn, though my Dad's university lost 3 buildings and was shut down and evacuated. The roads to the mountains are still closed though there are backroads which doubles his commute time. Ugh. The swimming pool was filled with ash. Never seen anything like it.
