Chatted with Ferenc about possible directions to go with the manuscript. Working on a piece called "Smear the queer" presently. We will manipulate the text in Illustrator or Photo Shop to create the illusion of smeared text. Ferenc will come to Boston in March and we'll sit down to really put this thing together. Since I don't own/watch television or have a VCR, we will set up a screening at a a friend's house with vintage roller derby videos and also rent Schwarzenegger's "Pumping Iron" documentary. Should be fabulous material. Did some research on baseball (Ty Cobb) and female bodybuilders. Did some laundry, packed for my trip. Fly to Albuquerque tomorrow for a reading at an arts space. It's possible that Spring has arrived in New Mexico - temps in the 50s! Packed my camera bag - digicam, Holga, 35 mm and lots of film.
