Yesterday morning on the 73 bus from Watertown to Harvard Square the windows of the bus were all fogged up from bodies and humidity. From where I was standing, I could see a woman with her hair loosely pinned into a up-do, with her head leaning up against the glass of the window. It was still dark outside and the sun had not yet risen - the sky was a very deep deep blue. Around her, the fog on the window had been wiped away from the movements of her head as she tried to find a comfortable position as she dozed. All the other windows remained perfectly opaque. The sight of this woman for some reason made me happy.
